Event Description

Adapted from NMFMA's Minimum Standards and practices in alignment with FSMA guidance, these in-person trainings are tailored for NM’s small to medium size producers. Bringing food safety concepts to life, the Tier 1 training explores food safety hazards that may be present on farms and highlights practices to mitigate those risks. The trainers provide hands-on technical assistance to help you apply these concepts directly to your own farm so that by the Tier 2 training you understand the more detailed concepts of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), can write your own Farm Risk Assessment with the trainers, increase the level of food safety on your farm, and become an approved supplier for the NM Grown Program.
