The Local Food Connects Conference in 2024 will bring together market managers, farmers, and local food advocates from across the state for three days of information sharing, resources, and inspiration. Registration Information
  • Attendance for the conference is FREE for current NMFMA Members and non-members pay $75
  • The deadline to register is Feb. 28! Registration for this event is now closed.  Thank You!
  • Farmers' Markets and Grocery Store memberships renew in April each year. Your conference registration will be Included for your member type. Learn more about membership here
  • TIP: If you are not a current member, join the NMFMA before Feb. 28, 2024, then register as a member and attend the conference for free.
  • WIC will have a table in the lobby
  • Refer to the Conference & Hotel Cost chart to determine your edibility for hotel stay reimbursement, registration cost, included meals, and additional attendees. 
  • Farmers’ Markets that want to send more than two people, or other members who want to send more than one, can register as an "Additional Attendee" for $25 each. 
  • When you register, please CHECK EVERYTHING that you plan to attend and answer the "yes" or "no" questions.
  • If you are not sure of your membership status, contact Membership Coordinator Catherine Baca. Catherine will be available in the lobby for questions, membership renewal, and insurance during the conference. 
  • If you can't attend the conference, please inform Catherine to cancel your registration
Included with your registration:
  • Snacks and beverages all days 
  • Lunch on Thursday (March 7) and Friday (March 8)
  • Evening reception on Thursday (March 7) at Santa Fe Community College
Group Hotel: 
  • The deadline for the special rate was Feb. 21, 2024. 
  • Hyatt Place, Santa Fe (*Different hotel than last year, same area)
  • 4320 Cerrillos Road Santa Fe, New Mexico 87507  
  • If you choose to stay at another hotel, we will reimburse the same rate as the Hyatt Place conference rate of $109.00 + tax per night.
Hotel Financial Support:
  • Refer to the Conference & Hotel Cost chart to determine your eligibility for hotel stay reimbursement, registration cost, included meals, and additional attendees. 
  • If attending the Double Up Food Bucks and FreshRx training and Local Food Connects sessions for all THREE DAYS (March 6-8, Wednesday to Friday), NMFMA members will receive hotel reimbursement for up to two nights.
  • If only attending ONE DAY of the Local Food Connects session (March 7 or March 8, Thursday or Friday), NMFMA members will receive hotel reimbursement for one night.
  • A reimbursement check will be written at the conference when you present a copy of your paid receipt.
