Online Food Safety Training Tier 2 Webinar - Tuesday, 2/1, 1-4 p.m.
2/1/2022 - 2/1/2022
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Event Description

Are you interested in selling your produce to local schools, senior centers, and other institutions?
This training counts toward the Approved Supplier Program requirements to sell through NM Grown.

Tier 2 is a training that moves into the more detailed concepts of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) so that producers can develop a complete, scale-appropriate Risk Assessment that guides farm activity. This includes having producers work on customized plans for their own farms by working through the Risk Assessment template the trainers provide.

This registration is for:
TIER 2 WEBINAR on
Tuesday, Feb. 1 from
1-4 p.m.

This Tier 2 training will be a LIVE webinar via Zoom presented by:
Valerie Smith, La Montañita Co-op
Anita Adalja, National Young Farmers Coalition

Before Tier 2 Training:
  1. Complete video/quiz modules in TalentLMS. (NOTE: The entire seven part video series and quizzes should take 1-2 hours based on your learning style. This can be taken multiple times in order to pass with at least an 80%. Please give yourself enough time to do the Video and Quiz modules BEFORE this Webinar)
  2. Register for your Tier 2 Webinar on TalentLMS. Click the "Register" button once and you are done until your LIVE webinar. (Return to this page to access the Zoom link for your LIVE webinar. Please only enter the meeting at your assigned time.)
  3. Download and/or Print your Farm Risk Assessment found in the "Files" folder of your course. Take a walk around your farm and begin to fill it out. Please be prepared to bring this to the Tier 2 Webinar.

(NOTE: The completion of this course is NOT an approval to sell through the NM Grown Approved Supplier Program, this is an approved course training that goes towards the requirements of the NM Grown Approved Supplier Program)
