FOOD SAFETY IS GOOD BUSINESS!
Whether you are new to food safety concepts, would like to learn more about how the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) will impact you, or are thinking about having a third party audit, this introductory training will help you assess your understanding of food safety.

You will leave the training with a basic understanding of what food safety Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) look like on a farm, and next steps for your own farm. The workshop will also ready you for Tier 2 and Tier 3 training where you create a custom food safety plan for your farm, and prepare for a third party audit or produce safety rule compliance. Trainings are conducted by local specialists and extension agents.

Snacks and materials are included.

COST FOR ATTENDANCE: This training is FREE for members of the New Mexico Farmers' Marketing Association (NMFMA). Annual NMFMA membership for individual farmers is $25 and includes trainings and many other benefits. Cost for non-members is $75.
