Cluanch-Pinto Soil & Water Conservation District (phone: 505-847-2243)
Details:
This workshop will give participants the opportunity to learn how to build and properly maintain the static pile Johnson-su Bioreactor, which never needs turning, never smells, and does not attract flies.
This training is part classroom presentation and part hands-on construction. The workshop is based on Dr. David Johnson research, a molecular biologist conducting research at New Mexico State University. In his research he has found and developed a way to improve the growth of crops, restore soil fertility, and increase efficiencies in plant water use. These benefits provide a path to significantly increase farm, ranch, and garden productivity and profitability while also promoting the market development of a new agricultural commodity (soil carbon).
