Details:

Dr. David C. Johnson, molecular biologist and research scientist in New Mexico, has developed a system that brings lifeless soils back to life by reintroducing beneficial microorganisms to the soil with biologically enhanced compost.

BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES: JOHNSON-SU COMPOSTING BIOREACTORS

When built and maintained correctly, the static pile Johnson-Su bioreactor never needs turning, never has smells, and does not attract flies.

Attend the FREE two-part, hands-on training on Saturday, April 13: 

  • Classroom presentation: from 9 AM to noon at the Edgewood Soil & Water Conservation District Office at 2506 Route 66 in Moriarty.
  • Hands-On Construction of Bioreactor: 1 PM to 5 PM at East Mountain Seed & Garden Coop at 1328 Hwy. 333 in Tijeras.

The deadline to register is Monday, April 8th. Space is limited!

  • A limited number of bioreactors will be available for purchase.
  • Coffee and donuts will be provided at the morning session.
  • Please bring your own lunch.

WE SUGGEST YOU WEAR LONG SLEEVES, EYE PROTECTION, GLOVES, AND A DUST MASK.
