Create Your Own Food Safety Action Plan

Are your wholesale customers asking to see your food safety plan?  Are you considering a food safety certification like GAP?  This Tier 2, intermediate workshop will walk you through completing a Risk-Based Food Safety Plan. This risk assessment will be customized to your farm, and will act as your operations manual to ensure continuous improvement and implementation of food safety practices.

Your completed Risk-Based Food Safety Plan will be benchmarked to the Harmonized GAP standard, preparing you for our Tier 3 training, if you want to achieve GAP certification. The workshop will be led by local Extension Agents and food safety specialists. Please bring a laptop if you would like to complete your Risk-Based Food Safety Plan in Excel.

Refreshments and materials are included.

COST FOR ATTENDANCE: This training is FREE for members of the New Mexico Farmers' Marketing Association (NMFMA). Annual NMFMA membership for individual farmers is $25 and includes trainings and many other benefits. If you are not a member, please bring a check or cash to workshop. If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact Anita at anita@farmersmarketsnm.org.
