Join us for our Annual Conference: Local Food Connects, and Double Up Food Bucks Workshop at Santa Fe Community College! The half-day Double Up Food Bucks Workshop will be held Thursday afternoon, March 8th, and the conference will be held on Friday and Saturday.

Registration is now closed for our 20th Anniversary Annual Conference: Local Food Connects, and the Double Up Food Bucks Workshop! 
 

The conference is FREE to members of the New Mexico Farmers' Marketing Association! Join the NMFMA here.

The conference includes individual tracks tailored to farmers' market managers, farmers, and tribal farmers; lunches on Friday and Saturday; a dinner reception on Friday evening; and networking opportunities!

Double Up Food Bucks Workshop
Thursday, March 8th,  12 PM - 5 PM
 


This workshop is mandatory for all participating and prospective 2018 Double Up Food Bucks farmers' markets and farm stands. Contact Sarah Lucero with questions about the Double Up Food Bucks Workshop.

  • Registration: 12 PM - 1 PM

  • Breakout Sessions: Individual tracks for new and experienced DUFB managers

  • Your Voice: Share your experiences and learn from others for a successful 2018

  • Dinner is pay-on-your-own, join the group at a local restaurant by letting us know when you register

 

Annual Conference
Friday, March 9th,  9 AM - 5 PM

  • Tour the Controlled-Environment Agriculture facility with Charlie Schultz and Olga Ascoli at Santa Fe Community College School of Trades, Technology, Sustainability, and Professional Studies, including their inspirational greenhouse management techniques, aquaponic and hydroponic production systems, and sustainable methods to support all crop production

  • Registration following the tour

  • Conference opening poem by Luci Tapahonso, 2013 inaugural poet laureate of the Navajo Nation

  • Keynote Speakers: Rodrigo Rodriguez and Travis McKenzie from the Southwest Organizing Project

  • Lunch: Local fare will be provided with plenty of time for networking with your colleagues

  • Breakout Sessions: Individual tracks and breakout sessions on management, marketing, increasing sales, and reaching more customers for new and experienced outlet managers, farmers, and tribal farmers

  • Dinner and Social: Join us and mingle with your colleagues as we host an evening dinner and social


Saturday, March 10th, 8 AM -  2 PM

  • Visit the Santa Fe Farmers' Market: Head over to one of the oldest farmers' markets in the US for a self-guided field trip

  • State of the Plate: Hear how we did in 2017 and projections for the coming season from NMFMA Executive Director Denise Miller

  • See the Big Reveal of the FREE 2018 marketing tools

CONFERENCE: Santa Fe Community College (6401 Richards Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87508)

HOTEL:  La Quinta Inn (4298 Cerrillos Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87507). The special rate for conference attendees has expired. If you would still like to stay at La Quinta contact the hotel directly at 800-642-4239.  


NOTES 

Registration Fees:

  • Individual paid members of the NMFMA attend the Annual Conference FREE

  • NMFMA membership benefits allow TWO FREE attendees from each member farmers' market and farm stand to attend the NMFMA Annual Conference and DUFB workshop for market and stand managers

  • Attendees affiliated with farmers' market and farm stand memberships in excess of the two free should register as an "Additional Attendee" for $25

  • Non-members interested in attending the Annual Conference pay $75 

Included with your registration: 

  • Lunches on Friday and Saturday

  • Dinner reception on Friday night at Santa Fe Community College

Hotel:

  • All Double UP Food Bucks market managers will receive hotel reimbursement at the conference for Thursday and Friday nights with your hotel receiptWatch for further instructions in a future email.
